The Republican public association “Belarusian Children’s Fund” was founded on February 27, 1988. The Fund was created with the main aim to protect the rights of children, to provide them with moral, material, medical, legal and other assistance. The Fund’s mission has remained unchanged for already 30 years. Over the years, the Belarusian Children’s Fund has implemented many charitable programs in support of families and children of Belarus.
Since 1996 the Unitary Enterprise “Coca‑Cola Beverages Belorussiya” has been the official partner of the Republican public association “Belarusian Children’s Fund” and has been putting its efforts to the implementation of socially significant projects for children.
For over twenty years, the Enterprise has been supporting regular visits to Minsk of an international medical team led by Dr William Novick, a renowned cardiac surgeon, professor at the University of Tennessee, director of the International Children's Heart Foundation in Memphis (USA). Under the program 24 visits of foreign specialists from 11 countries of the world have been organized. During the existence of the Belarusian Children's Fund’s program “Children’s Heart” over 500 children with the most complex heart and blood vessels diseases were operated on and over 2000 children received qualified medical advice.
In 2009-2010 the Enterprise together with the Fund implemented another joint project “FruitTime. Time for Kindness!” under the program “Warm Home”. The Enterprise donated part of its raised funds from sales of the drink "FruitTime" for the improvement, development and furnishing of family-type children's homes. Apart from own children, there are from 5 to 10 orphans in every family-type children’s home.
The Enterprise also supports two rehabilitation and health-improving sessions for children with cardiovascular pathology and children who underwent oncological diseases: “Happy Hearts” (in Children's Recuperation center “Nadezhda XXI Century”) and “Rainbow of Hope” (in the Educational Institution "National Children's educational and health-improving center “Zubrenok”). By tradition, the company provides participants with soft drinks and juices.
For more than a decade, the charitable program “Our Hearts to Sick Children” has been joining mutual efforts of the Belarusian Children's Fund and the Unitary Enterprise “Coca‑Cola Beverages Belorussiya” to congratulate children in rehabilitation centers, clinics and hospitals on Christmas and New Year.
The ceremony dedicated to the Fund’s Anniversary was attended by members of the Fund's Board, G.V. Smirnova, Vice-president of the International Association of Children's Funds, representatives of Ministries, government authorities, as well as delegations of the Fund’s staff and activists from every region of Belarus, the Fund’s volunteers and young people who were lent a helping hand by the Belarusian Children's Fund.
A.V. Roschupkin, First Deputy General Manager on behalf of the Unitary Enterprise “Coca‑Cola Beverages Belorussiya” congratulated the Fund on its Anniversary and presented a money Certificate to the Belarusian Children's Fund for holding two rehabilitation and health-improving sessions for children with cardiovascular pathology and children who underwent oncological diseases: “Happy Hearts” and “Rainbow of Hope” in summer season 2018. A.V. Roschupkin wished the Fund to continue traditions of good deeds and mercy for the benefit of the children of our country.
