Cooperation with International Sakharov Environmental Institute of Belarusian State University

For many years the Unitary Enterprise “Coca‑Cola Beverages Belorussiya” has been supporting long-term educational programs to provide talented youth with new opportunities in the sphere of education

Since 2010 the Enterprise has been cooperating with International Sakharov Environmental Institute of Belarusian State University in the sphere of education.

On May 17-18, 2018 the XVIIIth International scientific conference “Sakharov Readings-2018”: ecological problems of the XXI century” was held in Belarusian State University with the support of the Unitary Enterprise “Coca‑Cola Beverages Belorussiya”. The forum aims at bringing together leading scientists and practitioners, university professors, graduate students, undergraduates and students from different countries to assess the impact of technological progress on the environment and human beings, and to develop measures to reduce the negative impact on nature.

Over 500 scientists from Belarus, Russia, the Ukraine, Moldova, Armenia, Poland, Germany, Serbia, Turkey, Tadzhikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Mexico, and India took part in the conference.

During the conference 10 thematic sections were held, where the issues of philosophy and environmental problems of the present, medical ecology, epidemiological and hygienic assessment of human habitat, radiobiology, and radiation safety were discussed.

Annually the Enterprise provides financial support for the organization of summer student ecological camps on the territory of the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve. With the help of volunteers, the territory of the Reserve is cleaned and beautified, including the construction and equipping of places for recreation near the “ecological pathway”.
